i'm taking a class

Yahoo! Another part of becoming an artist again, I'm taking a class.
On thursday night was my first of an 8-week silkscreening class.
It's given by one of the biggest not-for-profit printshops around, Lower East Side Printshop.
So the class has 10 people, each from a variety of ages and backgrounds, but most are artists of some medium or another.
On thursday we got to see some amazing work, and we went over the silkscreen process as a whole, to where we were ready to use the screen and start printing our simple "art". The only reason we didn't print was because we didn't have enough time.
I'm very excited about the refresher of silkscreen as it pertains to the start of my business. I'm also excited at being in an environment where other people are artists, and everyone is being "creative".
Fabio is my hero! He is on his own with the boys, so that I can do this. Isn't he wonderful??
I'll keep you posted on my work, and I'll start posting artwork as soon as I get a scanner!!

I'm not a hero just for staying with the children alone for one night a week! How about you? You've spent many days alone with the kids. Sounds like you're the hero.

You're my hero! No, you're my hero! No, you're my hero! No....

Awwww, you're both my heros!

Look forward to seeing your art on the site, way cool!

My videos are becoming a new art form for me, which I'm really enjoying. I love creating!

A hearty hello from the DeFreitas clan.

Wow, enjoy this time, this investment in your creative self, for all it's worth. As you learn, play and your learning will be the more blessed.

As I comment I realize that it is a whole month since you made this post. So, I should ask, how have the Thursday nigths been going?
